McALLEN – In the middle of his set at the McAllen Holiday Parade Enrique Iglesias looked to the crowd for help.

He asked those attending his concert at Veterans Memorial Stadium if anyone would like to sing with him.

“You there with the cap and the glasses, come on,” Iglesias said Saturday night.

Ismael from Reynosa was the lucky fan. Iglesias was quick to want to offer him a drink but quickly had to turn rescind his offer because Ismael was only 19 years old.

While the audience never got his last name, Ismael was attending the show with his girlfriend and her parents.

Iglesias asked whether Ismael wanted to sing a song in Spanish or English, Ismael's response was Spanish. Taking the cue Iglesias began his hit “Cuando Me Enamoro.” Ismael sang along with Iglesias while those in attendance only wished they were him.

At the end of the song Iglesias brought Ismael's girlfriend on stage for an embrace and a selfie.

Iglesias entertained the 15,000 people in attendance for a hour. Highlights of the concert included many hits like “Bailando,” “El Perdon” an “I like It.”

Also during the concert Iglesias made his way onto east side of the parade route for an interaction with fans. There he gave high-fives and sang for them. It was up close and personal for those in the stands.

At one point Iglesias told the crowd he could see himself living in the City of Palms.

After his three song encore Iglesias left the stadium and Santa Claus made his way into the stadium to begin the McAllen Holiday Parade.
