The 4th Annual Camarada’s Fishing Tournament reeled in more than $8,000 in contributions from across South Texas to benefit the Edinburg Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The charity tournament held on June 26 and 27 at the Adolph Thomae Boat Ramp Area in Arroyo City, lured anglers from all over the Rio Grande Valley for a weekend of friendly competition, camaraderie, and advocacy.

The contest featured four divisions including: Oversized Red, Heaviest Red, Heaviest Speckled Trout and Heaviest Flounder. There was also a Kids Division for little anglers 12 years or younger. Cash prizes and trophies were presented to the tournament winners. Raffle prizes were also awarded to lucky participants.
