Join Steve Benn of Texas Parks and Wildlife on Thursday, Jan. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. during the McAllen Nature Series at Quinta Mazatlan, the McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center for an interesting and insightful look into the habitat of the Rio Grande Valley.

Benn will discuss simple steps the community can actively take to help restore the Lower Rio Grande Valley’s precious habitat, including choosing beneficial native plants. Also, learn how to handle problems that can occur with invasive plants.

Benn has worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Wildlife Division at Las Palomas Wildlife Management Area for 16 years.

The program fee is $3 per person and no advance registration is required.
