The International Museum of Art & Science and the South Texas Astronomical Research Society (STARS) invites you to reach for the stars on Saturday, June 19, from 2 to 10 p.m. for the 3rd Annual Amazing Skies/STARS Party. With the summer solstice just around the corner, this year’s theme is “Celebration of the Sun.”

Amazing Skies/STARS Party activities include: Indoor and outdoor space related hands-on activities; meeting an astronaut from NASA; a “Tour of the Solar System” with Science on a Sphere (SOS); interacting with your favorite Star Wars characters at the Sci-Fi Cafe; and joining in a special demonstration from Mercedes Dance and Theatre group as they kick-off the STARS Party nighttime viewing of the planets, moon and stars with state of the art telescopes like you’ve never seen before.

Come and learn about our galaxy and all the amazing phenomenons such as cosmic collisions or sing to your very own version of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” in Cosmic Star- and even take home a CD copy of your song.

Admission for Amazing Skies/STARS Party includes all activities from 2 to 10 p.m. and is only $2 for IMAS Members with non-member admission of $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/students (w/ ID), and $7 for children (ages 4-12).
