Children will have the chance to explore their roots and enjoy learning about their ancestry and the diversity of cultures found in Texas on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Palm View Branch Library in McAllen.

This program, presented by the Museum of South Texas History, and underwritten by a grant from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, features a travelling trunk that contains clothing, a quilt, a create-a-sticker machine (to personalize the trunk with creative travel stickers), household items, a classroom set of family trees that students may complete and keep, plus a special storytime and craft.

This is a We The People Bookshelf event. Families are welcome! As always, the program and materials are free.
