Symphonic music lovers, Winter Texans, and the young at heart find themselves looking forward to the annual symphonic pops concert sponsored by the City of McAllen. This event is the only concert in the season to feature both the Valley Symphony Orchestra and the South Texas Youth Symphony. Both orchestras perform under the baton of Maestro Peter Dabrowski.

Designed to be the perfect start for a great weekend, the concert begins at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23. Maestro Dabrowski has planned for both orchestras to perform a variety of audience favorites.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Group tickets are $7 for groups of 15+ and just $5 for groups of 50 or more. Tickets may be purchased at the McAllen Convention Center Box Office or online at
