Get ready for a close encounter with a special visit from live animal ambassadors from Brownsville’s Gladys Porter Zoo during Evening Explorations on Thursday, June 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlan, the McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center.

Many of the special guest animals from the zoo can be found in backyards and neighborhoods across the Rio Grande Valley. Don’t miss out on the including lizards, snakes and many others!

Join Quinta Mazatlan Thursday evenings throughout the summer for a new and interesting topic each week including art, birds, bats, owls and more!

Family Evening Explorations is hosted by Quinta Mazatlan and the City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department. The series is generously sponsored by Freels Orthodontics and New York Life Insurance every Thursday evening through August 8.

The program fee is $2 for adults and $1 for children and seniors.
