On Sept. 3, El Milagro Clinic will be hosting their first major fundraising event, the “Miracle Ball.” The event will include dinner, silent auction and a dance featuring the music of “Savannah.”

Being honored that evening is the Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. for their major support of the El Milagro Clinic. All proceeds will be used to provide direct patient services and operational expenses.Chartered as a non-profit organization in 1996, El Milagro Clinic has served the health care needs of those most vulnerable members of our community. Transitioning from its modest beginnings in downtown McAllen, the clinic now sees patients from its current location at 901 E. Vermont in McAllen. Now occupying a spacious 25,0000-square-foot facility in south McAllen’s medical district, approximately 125 patients are served on a daily basis.El Milagro Clinic is funded by a variety of sources, among which are: the City of McAllen, the State of Texas and the County of Hidalgo, as well as several private foundations. Program generated income also accounts for a portion of the Clinic’s budget. The current economic climate requires that the clinic increase its fundraising efforts. Sponsorships for the “Miracle Ball” are $5,000, $3,000, $1,500 and $500. Individual tickets are $50; a Reserved Table of 10 is $500. The El Milagro Clinic asks the public, friends, partners and business leaders to consider supporting them during this fundraising event. Auction items are also welcome. The support will contribute to the better health and wellness of the community.
