Thanks to a generous grant from the State of Texas, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV and Sylvan Learning Center have partnered to make our club member’s academic life a more successful one through the Texas Aim program.

Launched in February, 75 club members will benefit from trained Sylvan teachers at no charge to the youth. Club member will be provided Ace it Tutoring four times a week and will be attending academic camps in the summer and fall. The goal of the program is to boost students’ test scores, improve their problem-solving skills and encourage a love of learning.

The Boys & Girls Club has played an integral role in the Edinburg community for 39 years, providing daily programs and services to over 16,000 young people. During the School year the Club is open Monday — Friday, 3:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and during the summer the hours are 7:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.

The club offers programs that emphasize character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sport, fitness and recreation.
