Have you ever visited someone at Lopez or Segovia and ran into some trouble? Maybe you are fortunate enough to not have someone you love behind bars, but you are sympathetic toward the families that do?

I am suggesting that we help each other out and share tips regarding the restrictions of the prison unit located near you. There are over 250 county jails in Texas and only three of them have a tip sheet on line. Every unit has rules that are not clearly stated, whether it be no visitors in sleeveless shirts or no children visitors during the week.

Families waste a lot of time, money, and effort to visit, just to be turned away. I suggest a concerned local citizen place a "tip jar" or "suggestion box" in an approved area of the prison unit. They would then need to check the jar for a few months and make a list of the suggestions to hang on the wall, with the staff's permission. That person could then send or email me the list to submit to a database on line. I am willing to help in any way that I can.
