Dr. John Gerling enjoys educating patients and parents about various field like paleontology, astronomy, biology, and geography. As his appreciation of the community has grown over the years, he has joined non-profit boards to further improve their educational and cultural assets. Dr. Gerling has served IMAS for a total of 12 years as a board member and three consecutive years a Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Arthur Hughes became interested in museums and science as all NYC students were exposed to the Jayden Planetarium, the American Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Art. He started his involvement with the IMAS board in 2000 during the construction of the new wing and continued on the board team until 2014. He served as Chairman of the Board and served as treasurer twice.

Mr. Bill Ranganath joined the IMAS Board of Trustees in 2002 and retired in 2014 after serving four full terms. “Everyone had the same goal of improving the performance of IMAS as an Art & Science Museum,” said Mr. Ranganath.
