“Steak” In Your Community is held annually, with the goal of raising funds to support youth development programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Youth-of-the-Year scholarship program. The event includes a fast-paced auction, live music from the RiverRock Band, good food by Palacios Endowment, and great company.

“The funds raised by the “Steak” In Your Community event will make a huge impact on the lives of our community youth, said Castañeda. “I understand the importance of success for children who face challenges. Our community children and adolescents deserve the opportunities that Boys & Girls Clubs in Edinburg provides. I believe in service before self and this year with the help of our guest of honor Club alumni, television actor and host Mario Lopez we hope to break our fundraising goal of $150,000.00.”
