The Sekula Memorial Library has partnered with Dr. Ida Acuña-Garza, Executive Director of the South Texas Literacy Coalition, to host the Learn to be Money Smart Financial Literacy Luncheon. The event will take place Thursday Jan. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dr. Acuña-Garza, says the goal is to “provide the community with the financial tools to succeed in life. There are many resources available, but at times it can be overwhelming. Our intention is to present information in a simple and concise fashion.” The information offered during the luncheon will be presented in a relaxed, enjoyable, and easy to follow manner.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, space is limited, so call the library and reserve your seat as soon as possible. Lunch will be provided for those in attendance. Also, don’t forget to get your ticket at the door for a chance to win a door prize.
