LIGA MX action will return to H-E-B Park on March 21, 2017 when Club Deportivo Guadalajara faces Club Santos Laguna, stadium officials announced today. The match will kick off at 8p.m. and is presented by SPD Sports

“Bringing world-class soccer and entertainment to H-E-B Park and the Rio Grande Valley is very important to our organization.” said H-E-B Park President Bert Garcia. “We are glad that we are able to host the top teams in Mexico and that the fans have the opportunity to see their favorite teams here in their own backyard.”

Tickets for the match will go on sale online on Friday, January 12 at 10 a.m. with prices starting at $35.To purchase tickets, fans can visit or visit the box office of H-E-B Park, which is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT.

Club Deportivo Guadalajara is a historic team in Mexico, currently sharing the record for most championships. Chivas has been crowned champion of the Liga MX 12 times, the Copa MX four times, Campeón de Campeones seven times and the SuperCopa MX once. Guadalajara is one of the ten founding members of the Mexican First Division and has never been relegated. Chivas is considered the most popular team in Mexico according to studies. Players from Chivas include Oswaldo Alanis, Alan Pulido, Carlos Salcido, and Orbelin Pineda.

Club Santos Laguna was founded in 1983. Santos’ accolades include champions of the Liga MX five times, Copa MX once, Campeón de Campeones once and the Interliga once. Santos’s roster includes Julio Furch, Néstor Araujo, Djaniny, and Carlos Izquierdoz.
