Three new 76® gas stations are slated to open in McAllen and Pharr with the general public invited to attend the celebrations on both Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16. As part of the fun, the first 100 attendees will be able to fill up their tanks with regular unleaded gas at the discounted price of $0.76 per gallon.
“We are thrilled about the 76® gas station openings. Motorists can expect to see several grand openings across South Texas from Laredo to Harlingen in the coming months,” said Colleen Murphy Smith, Motiva’s general manager of marketing.
The day will bring not only discounted fuel for the first 100 vehicles that visit the celebratory events, but an afternoon full of fun and prizes. Guests can try their hand at several games for a chance to win gas cards, branded 76® hats, sunglasses and vintage shirts. There will also be food sampling from Tejano Mart and opportunities for attendees to sign up for 76® credit cards to get discounts on future gas purchases.
The schedules of the events are:
· Friday, June 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at 1701 S. 10th Street
· Friday, June 15 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 2601 S. Cage Road
· Saturday, June 16 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 620 East Ridge Road
“The 76 brand has been a great addition to our portfolio and will be a priority brand for us as we expand our network,” said Barry Bierenbaum, chairman of Mountain Express Company and owner of the South Texas sites.
The grand openings will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with attendance by representatives from the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, which represents the close working partnership between the Chamber and 76® brand licensee, Motiva Enterprises LLC.
