PALMVIEW - The 2018 Miss Palmview Pageant was not about the aesthetic; it was about crowning young women who consistently go above and beyond for their community. Eight young women were chosen to represent Palmview based on their service, leadership and ambition.

The Palmview Chamber of Commerce hosted their 4th Annual Miss Palmview Pageant on Sunday Oct. 24 at A&J Ballroom & Events. Spotlighting La Joya school district students who are actively engaged in their community. The pageant is an initiative by the chamber to bring the community together, while giving young women the opportunity to earn a $500 dollar scholarship.

The eighteen contestants donned their best Mardi Gras themed and formal outfits throughout the night. The event attracted a large crowd, and was filled with performances by children around the community. Chamber President, Diana Garcia showed her appreciation to all the parents and guardians at the event who made the experience memorable for the participants.
