ALAMO – PSJA Memorial Early College High School Senior, Salma Santiago-Martinez, was recently selected as a Coca-Cola Scholar Foundation Semi-finalist from over 95,000 applicants from across the country.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation exists to improve the world through investments in exceptional high school students who are dedicated to leadership, service, and action that positively affects others.

Santiago-Martinez, who plans to graduate with an Associate Degree in Business from South Texas College in May 2019, is one of only 1,986 high school seniors currently selected to advance to the next stage of the selection process. After this review, 250 Semifinalists will advance as Regional Finalists, with only 150 ultimately becoming Coca-Cola Scholars. A Coca-Cola Scholar receives a $20,000 scholarship for their post-secondary education.
