Leadership Edinburg (LE) Class XXX recently completed a quality of life session at South Texas Health System Edinburg Children’s Hospital. The class visited with staff members and children being treated at the hospital. Leadership Edinburg class members gifted books to the children, donated by South Texas Literacy Foundation, and created crafts for Cowboy Western Day in the children’s playroom. One of our Leadership students, Jonathon Vasquez, dressed as Dora the Explorer, and went room by room greeting even the smallest of patients.

Leadership Edinburg is designed by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce to allow class members to interact with one another and members of the community to encourage a better Edinburg. The nine month program is structured to help class members understand the problems and opportunities we face through strong leadership skills focusing on politics, education, and quality of life. The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce would like to thank South Texas Health Systems for sponsoring the community project class.
