The City of Edinburg invites the public to the 2nd annual Edinburg Musicfest on May 24 and 25. The event will feature 10 local and regional bands.

The event kicks off on Friday, May 24, at 6 pm with Country Night. Kyle Park of San Marcos, Texas will be the night’s headliner. Joining him will be Country Roland Jr., from Palmhurst, Southern Ashes from Elsa, and Edinburg’s own Eddie Saenz.

Elida Reyna y Avante will headline Tejano Night, Saturday, May 25. Starting at 5 pm, Tejano Night will include Rio Grande Valley artists Lost Tejano Boys from Brownsville, Grupo Inevitable from La Feria, Riley y Los Gilitos from Edinburg, and Epi Martinez and Friends from Elsa. Making their debut at the 2nd Annual Edinburg MusicFest will be Bidi Bidi Banda, a Texas Selena Tribute band from Austin, Texas.

The two-day music festival will feature the best Country and Tejano music and bring awareness to the Edinburg’s Music Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame features musical greats such as Selena Quintanilla Perez, Edinburg’s native son Roberto Pulido, Freddie Fender, Narciso Martinez, The Father of Texas Mexican Conjunto music, and many more.

The goal of the 2nd Annual Edinburg Musicfest is to increase visitors to the City of Edinburg, as well as, to the year-round cultural events hosted by the City of Edinburg.

Tickets for the festival are $10 for one day or $15 for a two-day pass. Tickets can be purchased online via and at the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.
