EDINBURG – Hidalgo County’s registered voters are able to vote at any county polling location on Election Day.

“The Countywide Polling Place program allows for every voter’s ballot to be at every polling location on Election Day,” said Elections Administrator Yvonne Ramón. “Voters no longer have to drive to their precinct polling location to vote. They can now vote at their nearest polling location, just like they are able to during Early Voting.”

After piloting the program during the 2017 November General, the Secretary of State’s Office declared Hidalgo County as “successful” status in January of 2018. Since then, Hidalgo County has implemented the program on Election Day.

“Our department continues to move forward, implementing the newest innovations in Election voting processes,” said Ramón. “We are always looking forward to executing programs that will be beneficial to our voters.”

During Early Voting, which begins Monday, Oct. 21 and runs through Friday, Nov. 1, voters are able to vote at any polling location. Election Day offers the same convenience. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Please visit www.hidalgocounty.us/elections for your nearest polling location.
