RIO GRANDE VALLEY/BROWNSVILLE -  Local Rio Grande Valley (RGV) restaurant, Wing Barn will offer ALL wings (bone-in and boneless) for .50¢ until things are back to ‘normal’.

Wing Barn is a locally owned, family business. Bobby Saenz, owner, moved to the RGV in 2006 and lives in Brownsville, TX, with his wife and sons. Daniel Pompa, Co-owner and head chef was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. Together, Saenz and Pompa opened Wing Barn in Brownsville, TX, in 2010.

“We know things are changing and that families are adjusting and coming together,” says Bobby Saenz, Brownsville resident and Wing Barn CEO. “We want to help. We want to help our dedicated team members by staying open; and we want to help our community by offering families delicious and affordable meal options. Offering .50¢ wings is a small gesture, but it’s what we can do to help.”

“We are a family business,” said co-owner and head chef, Daniel Pompa. “We see and feel our community scared and suffering and we as restaurant owners feel the same way. We want to step up for the community, and to be honest, we need the community to step up for us, and for all restaurants in the RGV.”

In response to COVID-19, Wing Barn complied with closing the dine-in option and now offers takeout, curbside and delivery (via FAVOR). Also, they added the option to order online at and through the Wing Barn APP.

“It’s an uncertain time for many businesses and families in the RGV, but by adapting and sticking together we will all endure and see the light on the other side,” says Saenz.

Since 2010, Wing Barn has opened seven locations across the Rio Grande Valley, including in: Olmito, McAllen, Harlingen and Edinburg. Two more Wing Barn locations are scheduled to open in 2020 in San Juan, TX and Weslaco, TX. Wing Barn prides itself on being a local, family-owned and operated restaurant that offers hand made food.

Most recently, Wing Barn was recognized as one of the ‘Top 25 Best Wing Restaurants in Texas”. Wing Barn offers over 20 made from scratch chicken wing sauces, including Cilantro lime, garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, razz chipotle, garlic serrano and mango habanero.
