WESLACO – South Texas College's Mid-Valley Campus is hosting is annual Fall Festival from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26. All activities take place at the college campus located at 400 N. Border in Weslaco. Admission is free and open to the public, with nominal costs associated with student club sponsored games and concessions.
Activities include a scavenger hunt and prizes through STC's Junior Jaguars Program, costume contests for all ages, carnival games and rides, a coloring station, rock wall, euro bungee, photo booth and human bowling. The South Texas Literacy Coalition will be on hand with its Boooktacular Book Fair, featuring story tellers and free children's books.
"This will be a fun event for the entire family," said Jerry Jaguar, STC mascot. "I hope to see lots of children and their families on hand to participate in my special scavenger hunt and sign up to become Junior Jaguars. I can't wait to meet all the kids and see their faces when they experience all the unique, fun things to do at the festival."
Admissions and financial aid personnel will be available to assist students with registration for spring 2012.
