EDINBURG – Looking for job opportunities? The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library and the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) will hold a job fair at the library on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This job fair aims to help people find good career opportunities and bring the city's unemployment rate down. The fair will feature seven different companies: Bert Ogden, McDonald's, Santana Textiles, Maximus Call Center, Don Hugo Produce Co., First National Bank, and the City of Edinburg. Be ready for an interview because some employers will be taking applications and conducting interviews on site. Don't forget to bring your resume and reference list.
Library Director Letty Leija and Edinburg EDC Project Manager Letty Reyes are happy to be able to make this event possible. They understand the importance of helping unemployed people connect with the right career opportunities. Leija and Reyes hope to make the job fair an annual event and they look forward to expanding it into a two day fair that will allow more employers to participate.
