Adan Rodriguez, age 83, a resident of Altus, Okla. and formerly of Elsa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Adam was born in Mission on Dec. 10, 1925 to Jose and Reyes Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his parents: one son, Adan Rodriguez Jr.; two brothers, Jose Apolinar; Donato; one sister Juana Amador; one grandson, Joe Adam and one great grandson, Andrew Cortez. Adan is survived by twelve children Ruben Rodriguez (Audelia) of Grand Prairie, Texas; Eva Flores of Tipton; Elena Rosa Lopez of Altus; mary “Mirtala” Bautista (Rudy) of Muskogee; Rebecca Lucca (David) of Sunrise, Florida; Emma Flores of San Antonio; Yolanda Rodriguez of Altus; Rudy Rodriguez of Edinburg; Jose Luis Rodriguez of Elsa; two sisters, Trinidad Graza of Elsa, Elisia Obregon of San Antonio; 42 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends in Elsa and South Texas.
Rosary services for Rodriguez were held on Sunday, Jan. 25 at Lowell-Tims Chapel. Funeral mass was held at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph Sundar Pudota officiating.
