McALLEN – Five students from McAllen's Lamar Academy have placed in the top ten out of more than 200 applicants in a Constitutional essay contest. They were recognized at the Constitutional Essay Awards Banquet April 9 at the University of Texas-Pan American. All are students in the McAllen ISD International Baccalaureate Programme.
