Long-time Edinburg High coach Richard Flores is proud to announce the 24th annual City of Palms Clinic, which will be held Feb. 6-8 at the new convention center in McAllen.

Flores said he expects a turnout of from 800 to 1,000 at the annual coaches clinic, which will feature speakers from several sports, including Paul Alsbury, Bobcat ex who will talk about the kicking game. Alsbury was a punter and safety at Southwest Texas State after his high school career under Flores, and is now the football coach at Brewster Middle School in Edinburg.

Also set to speak is John Levra, once a defensive coach with the NFLís Buffalo Bills, along with Edcouch-Elsa Coach Joe Solis, who has led the Yellowjackets to six straight district titles, and Joe Rodriguez, long-time Brownsville leader.

EHS coach Deanna Sanchez-Dominguez will speak on volleyball strength and conditioning, while Econís Doug Erickson is set to lecture on specialized training programs in track and field.
